ERROR [42000] [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement

Hi All,

We have a ASP.net web application deployed on windows server 2003 - 32 BIT with IIS 6 and oracle DB 10g. Its working very fine with providerName="System.Data.OracleClient" in connection string.

But now its being migrated to windows server 2012 - 64 BIT with IIS 8.5 and oracle DB. I have installed oracle 11g client on the server and deployed the application. I want to use System.Data.Odbc OR System.Data.Oledb as providerName in the connection string as 'OracleClient' being very old and is not sported.

But facing issues while connecting to database. Using these drivers gives me error 'invalid SQL statement' or doesn't connect at all to database.

OLEDB connects and then kills IIS process and i don't know why.

Could you please help here!!! with suggestions and preferred configuration.
